MedPride is a project co-financed by the European Union
within the Eumedis Programme.
The MedPride Project has
the scope to create a network of Centres of Excellence to
support enterprise creation and Innovation in Enterprise
coordinated by Sviluppo Italia. In the seven
participating Mediterranean countries (Malta, Cyprus,
Morocco, Lebanon, Tunisia, Palestinian Territories,
Egypt) from the Mediterranean, the project aims to help
create Centres of Excellence aimed to promote local
development so as to favour the creation of new
enterprises in innovative areas, and to promote
consultative services in the field on innovation.
Moreover, the project will use the internet as an
interface for sharing activities, experiences and
problems, and as a source of counselling that can be
trusted. The methodology is to use a bottom up approach
to nourish an entrepreneurial culture and the creation of
enterprise as a push for local development.
The Maltese partner for the MedPride Project is The
Foundation for International Studies of the University of
Malta. Malta Enterprise is supporting the Project in
order to cover the entrepreneurial dimension of the
project.
